A school’s public profile: the page a parent judges you on
Everything a school publishes about itself on Ekati, in one place, with its courses and its ways of being contacted.
Every school on Ekati has a public profile at /institutions/{id}. It is the page a parent opens before deciding, the page a learner reads when choosing a course, and the page a school fills in once and then keeps up to date. It is open to anyone — no account, no password — and it is written by the school, so what you read there is what that school has chosen to say about itself.
Read it in four movements: the identity at the top tells you what kind of school it is and where it is; the facts underneath give you its size and its track record; the courses show you what would actually be taught; and the contact panel tells you how to reach a human being.
If what you are looking for is a place rather than a course, the profile is also the way in: the Enroll button on it opens that school’s open admissions, and from there you can apply online in a few minutes.

How to read a profile like a parent
Three minutes and four questions decide whether this is your school.
Is this a real, running school?
A school on Ekati carries a Verified school mark, and the header tells you how long it has been on the platform. Look at the figures as well: a school with instructors, learners and course reviews has people behind it right now. An empty profile is not a warning — it usually means a new school that has not published its courses yet, and it says exactly that.
Does it teach what my child needs?
Open the courses section. The count line says how many courses are available, free and paid. Each card gives the level, the price and the rating; each card leads to a full course page with the description and the module outline. If the courses are the syllabus you were expecting, you have found your school; if they are thin, keep looking.
What do other families think?
What learners say shows real reviews of that school’s courses — the score, the words, the course and the date. Where a school has many courses with few reviews, that is a fact about the school’s courses, not a verdict on the school, and it is worth reading the wording rather than the number.
Can I reach them, and do they say the same thing twice?
The Contact school panel gives the address, the public email address and the phone number the school has published, plus its social links. Consistency is the cheapest signal there is: an address that matches the map, a phone that a person answers, and an email at the domain the school uses. Where a school has not filled these in, the panel says Contact details coming soon — honest, and worth a question when you apply.
From a profile to an application
Three buttons, and the one that matters is the first.
Enroll — start an application
The Enroll button opens that school’s admissions page, where its open intakes are listed with the academic year, the class and the closing date. It is also repeated at the bottom of the profile, so you cannot miss it.
Browse courses — stay inside the school
Browse courses scrolls straight to the school’s course list if you have already decided the school and are now choosing what to study. Each course card on that list links to its own page, where you enrol or buy.
All schools — keep comparing
All schools takes you back to the catalogue to weigh another school. Comparing two profiles side by side is the single most useful thing a parent can do before applying.
News, when a school has something to announce
Beyond the profile, a school keeps its families informed with its own programme and news pages, and with the articles it publishes on Ekati — results, successes, open days, changes of dates. Platform-wide announcements live on the news page. If a school has announced that its admissions open on a particular day, that is the announcement to read before you apply.
School profile questions
What parents ask while comparing schools.
-
What does a school profile show?
The school’s name, logo, tagline, city and country, the programme it runs and its sub-system; how long it has been on Ekati; how many courses, learners and instructors it has; its own description; its public courses with prices and ratings; recent learner reviews; and its published address, email address, phone number and social links.
-
How do I know a school on Ekati is genuine?
Every published school carries a Verified school mark, and the header shows the year it joined Ekati. Beyond that, judge by substance: instructors listed, courses with descriptions and outlines, learners enrolled, and reviews that name a course and a date. Contact details that are consistent with the school’s address are the last check.
-
The school profile shows no courses — should I still apply?
Applying is a separate question from buying a course. Admissions are run by the school’s admissions team, not by the course catalogue, and some schools publish courses later than they open their intakes. If the profile is otherwise complete, apply — and mention in your message what you expected to find.
-
Can I contact a school directly from its profile?
Yes. The Contact school panel lists the address, email address and phone number the school has published, and those links open your mail or dialer directly. Where the school has not filled them in, the panel says the details are coming soon — in that case write to the Ekati team through the contact page and they will pass it on.
