Dashboard: your school day on one screen

Today’s lessons, the fees due, the links you use most, and what your school has on file about you.

The dashboard is the first page you see after signing in, and it exists to answer one question: what does today need from me? It greets you by name, tells you which class and which academic year you are on, lists the lessons scheduled for today, and shows where you stand on fees — all before you have tapped anything else.

Below that sit the few links you actually use: the courses you are studying, the work your teacher has set, and the university registration page if you are a student. Underneath, your record of enrolment is listed year by year, so you can see at a glance when you joined, which class you were in, and whether that year was paid in full.

You do not need to visit it on purpose more than once or twice a day. Open it in the morning to check what is on, and open it before a fee discussion with a parent. Everything else lives on the pages it links to.

Read the dashboard in five steps

Two minutes, top to bottom.

  • Step 1

    Open Dashboard

Sign in and land here. The greeting carries your name, and just under it are your matricule, your school, your class and your year.

  • Step 2

    Read today’s classes

Each row is one lesson with its start and end time, the teacher and the room. If the day is free, the card says so instead of showing an empty box.

  • Step 3

    Check the fee line

Three figures side by side: what was expected for the year, what has been paid, and what is left. A balance of 50 000 XAF is shown until it reaches zero.

  • Step 4

    Use the quick links

One card for your courses, one for your assignments, one for the university registration if it applies. Each shows how many are waiting behind it.

  • Step 5

    Look back at your record

The bottom of the page lists your enrolments year by year, each marked cleared or pending with the balance. It is the fastest answer to “was last year paid?”

What the dashboard tells you today

Three blocks do most of the work. Read them in this order.

Today’s classes

The list holds only the lessons scheduled for today, each with its start time, its end time, the teacher’s name and the room. Tap any one of them and the course opens with the lesson that belongs to that slot. If more lessons are on than fit, a small line tells you how many more there are and the full week is a single tap away.

When nothing is scheduled, the block says so plainly instead of leaving you wondering. A free afternoon is information too.

The fee line

Three numbers, always in the same order: Expected for the year, Paid so far, Balance still outstanding. Alongside them, a badge either reads cleared or pending. Until the balance is zero, the pending badge stays — that badge is the same one the school office sees, so it is worth trusting.

Tap the paid figure and you land on the payment history, where every receipt can be downloaded. If your school has not set a fee structure for your class yet, the block says there is no fee assigned rather than showing a misleading zero.

The quick links

Four cards, and only the ones that apply to you. Each carries a count so you can see whether something is waiting: your courses, your assignments, and — for a university student — the course registration, which also tells you in one word whether it is waiting on a fee balance, already submitted, or ready to fill in.

Recent activity and the record behind you

The dashboard shows your enrolments. The dated feed shows everything else.

Enrolment history, year by year

Near the bottom, each year you have been enrolled is one line: the academic year, the class, the school, the date you were registered, and whether that year’s fees are cleared or still pending with the balance beside it. The current year is highlighted, so you never have to guess which one you are reading.

Activity history for everything else

Registrations, payments and course sign-ups also produce dated entries, and they are all collected in one place in the Activity History page. That is the page to open when you want to answer “when exactly did that happen?”, because it is dated rather than approximate.

Reading it on a phone

The dashboard stacks top to bottom on a small screen: identity first, then today’s classes, then fees, then the links. Nothing is hidden behind a hover, and nothing needs two hands. The whole page is scrollable with one thumb, which is what makes it a reasonable place to open while walking to school.

For parents, one block per child

A parent account shows the same structure, with a row of children’s names at the top. Choose one and the page fills with that child’s class, that child’s fee figures and that child’s classes for today. Switching children reloads the whole page, so there is no risk of reading one child’s marks against another child’s timetable.

Dashboard questions

What learners and parents ask in their first days.

  • Why does the balance not go down when I pay?

The balance only moves when the school records the payment against an instalment. Pay at the counter and the figure updates straight away; pay by mobile money to the number on your receipt and it updates once the school has confirmed the transfer. Until then the dashboard keeps showing what the school actually has on file.

  • What does “No fee assigned” mean?

It means your school has not yet priced your class for this year, so there is nothing for you to pay against. It is not a cleared balance and it is not an error — ask the school office when the fee structure for your class will be published.

  • Why is my course not on the dashboard?

The count next to the courses card only counts courses the school has published. A course that is still being written will not appear until it is released, and one that is not part of your class will never appear. Check My Courses for the full list.

  • How do I see the full week from the dashboard?

Use the link at the end of the today’s-classes block. It takes you straight to the weekly Timetable, which shows Monday to Friday with the teacher and the room for every lesson.

  • My child is not showing on my parent account. What now?

Only the school office can attach a child to a parent account. Ask them to check the child’s name against the school record and link it to your account; once they have, the child’s name appears as a button at the top of your pages.
