Plans and pricing: one price for a whole school

Three plans, a comparison of every module, and no hidden fees.

The pricing page at /pricing is the one to read if you run a school, a training centre or a university and you are deciding whether Ekati is affordable for you. It is not a price list hidden behind a sales call: every plan, every included module and every quantity is on the screen, and you can open any plan on its own page before deciding.

Three plans cover the whole institution. Basic at 5 000 XAF, Standard at 7 500 XAF and Premium at 10 000 XAF per month. There are no per-learner fees, no per-class fees and no setup charge — the monthly figure is the whole figure, and it covers every member of the school.

What separates the plans is not the price but the reach: how many course modules you may build, how many lessons you may publish, whether learners and parents get their own portal, whether your school gets its colours and its own web address. Read the comparison table rather than guessing, because the plan people buy is rarely the one they first assume.

The three plans at a glance

Each one covers a whole institution, billed monthly.

  • Up to 400 pupils

    Basic — 5 000 XAF / month

Everything a primary school needs to run fully online: grade entry, timetables, user management, enrollments, fee structures, payrolls and custom admission fields — all unlimited.

  • Most popular

    Standard — 7 500 XAF / month

For growing secondary schools and training centres: everything in Basic, plus the pupils and parents portal, your news blog, your school colours as a theme, and much larger quotas.

  • Groups and campuses

    Premium — 10 000 XAF / month

For large institutions and school groups: everything in Standard, plus AI credits for lesson plans and quizzes, and your own web address.

Paying monthly, or paying for the year

The three buttons at the top of the page change every figure below them.

Monthly, six months, twelve months

Three buttons sit under the title: Monthly for paying as you go, 6 months and 12 months. Selecting six or twelve months shows the discounted total for that period and the percentage you save, with the price you would have paid normally struck through. Nothing else about the plan changes — the modules are identical, only the commitment is longer.

The saving is worth measuring

Prepaying six months saves up to about 11%, and twelve months about 16%. For a school that is certain about its choice, a year’s payment at Basic works out at roughly 50 400 XAF instead of 60 000 XAF, and the same reasoning applies at every level. For a school still testing Ekati with one class, monthly is the honest answer — you can move up a plan whenever you want, not only at renewal.

One price for the whole school

The figure on the card is what the institution pays per month. Adding a pupil, a class, a teacher or an administrator does not change it, which is the difference between Ekati pricing and pricing that grows with a roll. For a primary school of 150 pupils or 400, the number is the same.

Quotas versus unlimited

Modules marked Unlimited have no counting — grade entry, timetables, staff accounts, enrollments, fee structures and payrolls are unlimited on every plan. Modules marked with a number, such as x80 course modules or x1000 lessons, are quotas included with the plan. When a quota runs out you buy more from your dashboard, and on the plans and pricing page you can open any plan to read exactly what it includes.

What each plan actually includes

The comparison table at the bottom of the page is the honest answer.

Unlimited on every plan

Grade entry and averages, class timetables, staff and administrator accounts with roles, enrollments, fee structures, payrolls, and custom fields on admission and registration forms are unlimited on all three plans. This is the working core of a school, and it is never metered.

Included quotas

Basic bundles 80 course modules, 80 assessment templates, 1 000 lessons, 200 library books, 50 message templates, 20 report card templates, 20 certificate templates, 30 blog posts and 2 broadcasts. Standard roughly doubles or triples those: 150 modules, 2 000 lessons, 400 books, 100 blog posts, 5 broadcasts. Premium reaches 250 modules, 3 000 lessons, 600 books, 500 blog posts and 10 broadcasts.

Standard adds

The Students & Parents Portal gives every pupil and every parent a personal space with results, fee balance, timetable, homework and announcements — the single change parents notice most. Standard also includes your school’s own theme with your logo and colours, and a larger quota of everything above.

Premium adds

AI credits for lesson plans, quiz generation and smart summaries, and one custom domain — the school’s own web address instead of the Ekati one. Each additional domain costs 5 000 XAF as an extra.

Top-ups and promo codes

Need more lessons, more books, more broadcasts or a second domain later? They are bought individually from your dashboard as soon as your subscription is active. Promo codes for admission and fee campaigns come with every plan, which is how a school usually fills a new class.

From a plan to a working school

Three steps, and the first one is free.

Step one: open the application

Click Get started on a plan and the institution application opens with that plan attached. You create an administrator account, then describe your school in a short wizard. Nothing is charged at this point.

Step two: we review

Ekati reviews the application and sets your school up — normally within 48 hours. Your administrator login details are sent to the address you gave.

Step three: subscribe

Sign in to the administration portal with those details and subscribe to your plan, paying by MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money exactly as you would for any other purchase on Ekati. Choosing six or twelve months there applies the same discount shown on the pricing page.

Read one plan on its own page first

Each plan has its own page at /pricing/{code}, opened from See details under the plan. It repeats the three billing periods as three separate cards, then lists what is unlimited, what is metered and how much of it is bundled — the clearest way to settle an argument between two staff members about which plan the school needs.

Pricing questions

What school owners ask before they choose a plan.

  • How much does Ekati cost per month?

Three plans, each covering a whole institution: Basic at 5 000 XAF, Standard at 7 500 XAF and Premium at 10 000 XAF per month. The price does not change with the number of pupils, classes or staff.

  • What is the difference between Basic, Standard and Premium?

All three include unlimited grade entry, timetables, accounts, enrollments, fees and payroll. Standard adds the pupils and parents portal, your school’s own theme and larger quotas. Premium adds AI credits and one custom domain for your school’s own web address.

  • Do I pay per pupil or per class?

No. The monthly figure is the whole figure, whatever the size of the school. That is why Basic is deliberately priced to let a primary school of up to 400 pupils run fully online on it.

  • What happens if I run out of lessons or course modules?

You buy more without changing plan. Extra lessons, books, broadcasts, assessment templates or additional domains — 5 000 XAF each — are add-ons you purchase individually from your dashboard as soon as your subscription is active. Moving to a larger plan is a separate decision.

  • Is there a discount for paying for six or twelve months?

Yes. Choosing 6 months on the pricing page saves up to about 11%, and 12 months saves about 16%. The monthly price shown on the cards stays the same; the longer period simply costs less in total.
